Lifestyle: J. R. Alford Greenway Picnic // Tallahassee, Florida 2016 by Ian Michelman

For Christmas this year, my sister got Carina and I a super thoughtful picnic "kit" complete with a basket, blanket, two mason jars, and a Publix gift card to shove food in our face (the best part). We decided to take advantage of the long weekend by driving out to the Greenway, which is definitely my favorite place to explore in Tallahassee! We set up under some trees, ate some delicious Pub subs, and then struggled for about an hour to take pics. Taking pictures of Carina is SO easy, but add my strange face into the mix while using a couple of shoes to prop up the camera, and things get a bit more challenging.

If you haven't made your way out to the Greenway, definitely dedicate a day to it! There's a few different trails you can walk and the scenery is so peaceful. I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!

Lifestyle: Wynwood Art District // Miami, Florida 2015 by Ian Michelman

Carina's family invited me to visit Wynwood with them one weekend during break. Wynwood has been on my list of places to visit for such a long time, but I could never find a good enough excuse to take the drive to Miami. Alas, it was amazing! The amount of passion and dedication that must have gone into  and continues to go into — all the art on those streets blows my mind! I really love seeing other people's creations because every piece of artwork that we get to appreciate in person needed to be conceptualized in someone's mind first. Truly amazing!

On a side note, you'll notice a bunch of portrait orientation shots from the day, which tends to be unusual for me when I'm casually shooting. It may or may not have something to do with the insanely awesome battery grip that Carina got me for Christmas. It's extremely functional AND it makes my camera look like an absolute beast! ;)
