Branding — Emon Surakitkoson / Baltimore, Maryland Based Artist

My wife and I are big time lovers and collectors of art, which isn’t surprising given the fact that my wife is an abstract artist herself. We’ve followed Emon Surakitkoson on social media for quite some time, and we absolutely adore the monochromatic color palette and unique use of texture in her paintings. We even recently purchased one of her original paintings (this one), which we can’t wait to hang in our home.

A couple weeks back, Emon invited me to her new Baltimore, Maryland art studio to photograph her workspace and creative process, which was such a joy to witness. Beyond the myriad of black and white paint cans, bubble wrapped canvases ready to be sent to their new homes, and custom cut wood panels scattered throughout, Emon’s art studio is full of texture and patina. My goal with these photos was to capture the synchroneity and harmony between Emon’s workspace and her work, which I find to be so beautiful.

Working with artists and fellow creatives is so rewarding! Give Emon’s work a peruse and follow her on Instagram:

Lifestyle — Adidas Ultra Boost + H&M Low Trash Jeans / Summer 2016

I have become quite interested in fashion blogging and detail photographing as of late, so I decided to do something a little different yesterday. Since my friend Jake has all the dank clothes and shoes, I posed him up in the loading dock of a corporate park and shot away at his outfit. For this shoot, Jake rocked the H&M distressed jeans look, paired with a simple beige T and white Adidas Ultra Boosts. I'm definitely looking forward to doing more of these stylized fashion shoots in the future!
